Positions Available

 

1. Graduate Engineers: We believe in "growing our own" so each year our major offices aim to employ new graduates. Applications should be made in August or September. Honours or good graduates with a practical approach are preferred.

 

2. Senior Consultants: We also provide career opportunities for experienced geotechnical, geo-environmental and groundwater consultants who are client focused and prepared to add value to our business.

Graduate Development Program

Douglas Partners encourages Continuing Career Development for all our staff and have a comprehensive Graduate Development Program in place to build a new graduate's knowledge and skills in both Douglas Partners business and your own areas of professional interest. As a new graduate, you will generally be rotated around a variety of geotechnical and environmental field and office work where you can learn to apply your uni skills, tackle new challenges, and continue to develop your professional expertise. As part of our Quality Management System we have a comprehensive series of Manuals that clearly set out all aspects of how to carry out field work, provide consulting advice and manage projects.

We aim to support your development through formal induction, on and off the job training and internal and external career development activities.

Graduate Recruitment

Qualities

We seek high achieving people who have excellent communication and analytical skills, excel in a team environment and who will be completing a degree in:
* Civil or Structural Engineering with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering
* Engineering Geology
* Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science or related field


Interview

Short listed applicants will be called for an interview. During your interview we discuss your academic achievements, future goals and work experience.

Work Experience Programs

Douglas Partners offers Industrial Training for students from December to February each year whereby students are given work experience in various departments of the company working with more senior staff on specific projects.

Students must be Australian Citizens or Residents and completing a degree in:
* Civil or Structural Engineering with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering
* Engineering Geology
* Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science or related field
