Western Corridor Recycled Water Project, Queensland The Eastern Pipeline of the Western Corridor Recycled Water Project is being delivered by the Department of Infrastructure through the Eastern Pipeline Alliance. The Eastern Pipeline will deliver treated wastewater from existing wastewater treatment plants at Oxley, Wacol and Goodna, to a purpose build advanced water treatment plant at Bundamba, Queensland.
DP Brisbane completed geotechnical investigations, laboratory testing and interpretative reporting for the new pump stations, storage tanks and associated infrastructure. The investigations comprised a combination of test pitting, conventional test bore drilling and piezocone testing.
The interpretative reports included analyses or laboratory multi-stage oedometer test results to estimate consolidation settlements and timings under existing and replacement fill and new structural loadings, stability analyses of structures and suitable foundation systems and construction sequences at all sites.
This project will deliver a reliable water system and provide a viable source of water for future industrial developments.
