Gosford Wyong Water Supply, NSW

Engineers from DP Newcastle Branch completed a number of geotechnical & environmental investigations for Stages 3 & 4 of the Gosford Wyong Water Supply project for Hunter Water Corporation and Patterson Britton & Partners (now part of Worley Parsons).

The $45 million project jointly funded by the Commonwealth Government in conjunction with Wyong Shire, Hunter Water Corporation and Gosford City Council, will enable 35 mega litres of water a day to be pumped from the Newcastle catchments area to dams in the Gosford/Wyong region.

DP's investigations included:-

  • Detailed assessments of subsurface conditions along approximately 30km of the Stage 3 pipeline alignment.
  • Stage 4 Geotechnical & environmental assessments for several large diameter pipelines at Teralba, Fennell Bay, Boolaroo and Rahmines areas.
