Arthur is a Senior Associate Geotechnical Engineer and Branch Manager of Douglas Partners' Geelong office. He holds an MEng degree in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer (IEAust). He has 17 years experience of working on geotechnical and environmental projects in the UK, UAE and Australia.
In the UK he worked on earth structure assessments for London Underground as well as on numerous contaminated land sites in the south east of England.
Since 2010 Arthur has worked on many projects for Douglas Partners. These include projects from small scale footing inspections through to planning and running large geotechnical investigations. He has prepared factual and interpretive geotechnical reports for many sites in Victoria including residential, commercial, infrastructure and marine projects.
Arthur's experience includes slope stability assessments, the provision of geotechnical tender and detailed design advice for several infrastructure projects, pavement designs and working platform designs. He also has experience with derivation of pile design parameters and capacities, site and earthquake classifications, vibration monitoring, plate load testing, infiltrometer testing and groundwater monitoring.
