Gavin is a Senior Associate with 17 years' experience as a geotechnical engineer within Sydney and NSW. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours at the University of Sydney in 1996 and a Masters of Engineering Science (Geotechnical) at the University of New South Wales in 2001.
Gavin has broad experience within Sydney and NSW in geotechnical investigations, inspections and construction advice for a diverse range of projects including residential subdivisions, multi-storey buildings with deep basements and foundations, large scale earthworks jobs, heavy-duty pavements, slope stability assessments and analysis of ground support for temporary structures. In addition, he has active interest in smaller residential projects which can be just as challenging as the larger projects.
Significant investigations that he project managed include the Darling Harbour Live project, the Building Education Revolution (BER) in Sydney (approximately 90 schools), Aldi Prestons Warehouse Facility, Infinity by Crown at Green Square, numerous residential subdivision developments in Western Sydney, several underground cable routes and the Western Sydney Stadium at Parramatta.
In 2015 he was the recipient of the DJ Douglas Award for his work on the Darling Harbour Live project.
In 2018, Gavin was appointed Branch Manager of our Riverstone office in our North Western Sydney.
