Peter began working with Douglas Partners as a laboratory technician before graduating from university. After completing a double degree in Civil Engineering and Arts at the University of Melbourne, he became the manager at Douglas Partners' Melbourne Laboratory between 2005 – 2008. During this period, he managed Douglas Partners' Melbourne Laboratory, computerised the test record control systems and introduced automation in the test recording systems.
After
returning to mainstream consulting in 2008, he was involved in a few major
infrastructure projects such as Westgate Freeway Upgrade Project, M80 Ring Road
Upgrade and recently Citylink Tulla Widening in Victoria, Southern Expressway
Duplication in South Australia, and in other infrastructure projects such as
Bendigo Hospital Project, Monash Children Hospital, Craigieburn Train
Maintenance Facility and Ravenhall Prison Project. He was also involved in a few low
to medium rise commercial / residential projects and residential subdivisions
around the metropolitan Melbourne area. Works including geotechnical assessment,
analysis, modelling design and inspection of various temporary ground supports
such as safe working platform, temporary batter / trench supports, and with
particular interests in implementation and monitoring of geotechnical
instrumentations.
