Scott is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer and has 18 years' experience in geotechnical engineering at Douglas Partners.
Scott graduated from University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and is close to completing a Master of Engineering Science degree at UNSW.
Scott commenced his career with Douglas Partners having being involved with many small to large earthworks, land reclamation and dam engineering projects in the Hunter Valley and North Coast areas. This experience has given Scott a sound appreciation of geotechnical constructability for earthworks projects in a range of geological conditions. He also utilises this experience with materials to select appropriate design parameters for the available materials. Over the past 10 years, Scott has project managed several large geotechnical investigations for commercial, heavy industrial, port, rail and mine facilities where multiple investigation methods and personnel were required to provide the geotechnical data required for design and construction.
Scott is very experienced in pile design, retaining wall design and ground treatment technologies. He can also bring a high level of expertise in the interpretation and development of geotechnical models to assist in the design of many projects.
