Facilities Officer

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the general equipment, and warehouse management at our Melbourne office with 50+ staff in South Melbourne.

This hands-on role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • General equipment maintenance including repair and calibration of various field-testing equipment used for a range of geotechnical and environmental investigations (training provided).
  • Sample / storage/management.
  • Perform and arrange scheduled preventative maintenance, cleaning and inspections (e.g. fire fighting equipment, building safety inspections).
  • Manage and order field work consumables.
  • Arrange pool vehicles servicing and general safety inspections.
  • Perform minor building and furniture modifications or repairs including work including carpentry, painting and plumbing, is favourable, not essential.

About you:

  • Physically fit and strong you will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical check.
  • Demonstrated experience in a construction, manufacturing or mining environment that requires a high level of safety awareness is favourable.
  • Ability to work well within a team and also independently.
  • Keen positive ‘can-do attitude’ with a proactive, problem solving and practical nature.
