Accounts Payable/Finance Officer (Part-Time)

West Ryde, Sydney NSW

Please note this is a part-time role, working 25 hours per week (across 5 days).

 

About the Role

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable & Finance Officer to join our Finance team on a part-time basis at our Sydney Head Office. This role plays an important part in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time while supporting the broader finance function with reporting, reconciliations and process improvements.

You’ll work closely with the Accounts Payable Team Leader, suppliers and teams across the business to keep our AP processes running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on transactional work and improving systems and processes within a collaborative finance environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and managing supplier invoices through AP automation systems
  • Maintaining and updating supplier master data
  • Managing the shared Accounts Payable inbox and responding to supplier queries
  • Preparing and processing payment runs, including foreign currency payments
  • Managing corporate credit card and employee expense reimbursements
  • Coding and reconciling petty cash transactions
  • Supporting month-end close activities and reconciliations
  • Assisting with audits, ABS reporting, fringe benefits declarations and ad-hoc finance analysis
  • Working with internal teams and suppliers to resolve AP queries
  • Identifying opportunities to improve AP systems and processes

 

About You

You’re an organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable professional who takes pride in accuracy and enjoys being part of a collaborative finance team. You’re comfortable managing high volumes of transactions, communicating with suppliers and stakeholders and you’re always looking for ways to improve how things are done.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • A strong understanding of accounts payable and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience using AP automation systems (highly regarded)
