Graduate Geotechnical / Environmental Engineer or Scientist

Rouse Hill, Sydney NSW

What the role is

We’re seeking a motivated Graduate Geotechnical / Environmental Engineer or Scientist to join our North West Sydney (Rouse Hill) branch. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career, gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of projects and learn directly from industry experts. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, working in both the field and office, contributing to projects that make a real impact in infrastructure, environment and community outcomes.

 

What you’ll be doing

As a Graduate, you’ll gain hands-on experience across both fieldwork and office-based projects. Depending on your background and interests, you’ll:

  • Carry out site investigations, including soil, groundwater and geotechnical assessments.
  • Operate specialist equipment, collect and analyse samples and manage subcontractors.
  • Conduct inspection and testing relating to bulk earthworks projects.
  • Use software such as QGIS and Slope W to interpret data and develop solutions.
  • Contribute to proposals, technical reporting and project delivery.
  • Work safely and collaboratively to achieve client and project outcomes.

 

About You

Bachelor Degree in:

  • Engineering – Geotechnical or Civil
  • Sciences – Environmental, Geology or Groundwater

 

Other criteria

  • Possession of a valid Australian driver’s licence
  • You enjoy the balance of working onsite and in the office
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An interest in continued learning and building your career in the geotechnical/environmental / groundwater and earthworks in the civil field
