The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Hydrogeologist with strong technical capability and an interest in science, mathematics and data analysis.  This role provides key support to our Geotechnical and Groundwater teams, with a balanced mix of office-based tasks and fieldwork across a diverse range of projects (the role being predominantly office-based with occasional fieldwork).

Your role will include (but not limited to):

  • Conduct desktop assessments and fieldwork for hydrogeological investigations.
  • Undertake and supervise on-site activities including drilling, aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring.
  • Contribute to groundwater impact, dewatering and resource assessments across mining, infrastructure, development and environmental projects.
  • Interpret hydrogeological data and support conceptual model development and numerical modelling.
  • Prepare inputs for technical reports, proposals and project deliverables.
  • Apply geological knowledge and support geotechnical projects as needed

About You

  • Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or similar, with hydrogeology focus.
  • ~3+ years’ experience in consulting/industry and proven groundwater assessment/reporting skills.
  • Competent with groundwater modelling tools (e.g., MODFLOW, SEEP/W).
  • Strong analytical, communication and technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of NSW groundwater guidelines (desirable) and flexibility to support broader geological/environmental tasks.
  • Safe, proactive, organised, collaborative and willing to travel for fieldwork.
