About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Systems & Support Analyst to join our team in West Ryde. In this hands-on role, you’ll provide second-level support to end users and serve as an escalation point for Level 1 helpdesk staff. The role also supports the Systems Administrator in routine IT operations and assist with managing our hybrid Windows and Azure-based infrastructure.
You’ll work with limited supervision within in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Act as the primary escalation point for Level 1 Helpdesk issues across desktop, application, and basic network support.
· Perform endpoint device management, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Windows desktops and laptops.
· Assist with user and group management in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
· Provide support for core productivity platforms, including Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) and other core business applications.
· Maintain software licensing records and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
· Support system maintenance tasks such as patching, backups, MFA setup, and permission reviews.
· Monitor and respond to helpdesk tickets using internal ITSM/ticketing systems.
· Assist with documentation of IT systems, standard operating procedures, and support workflows.
· Coordinate with vendors and escalate unresolved technical issues as needed.
About You
· At least 3 years’ experience in an IT support or systems administration role
· Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments
· Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure administration
· Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
· Proven ability to troubleshoot a range of technical issues independently
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong time management and organisational skills
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and escalate appropriately
· Exposure to scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell) is highly desirable
· Knowledge of ITIL practices or helpdesk systems is advantageous
· Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
