Brent Kerry

Brent is a Senior Associate at Douglas Partners with 25 years of experience in contaminated land consulting.  He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honours from the University of Newcastle, holds the title of Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and is listed on the National Engineering Register (NER).

In 2004, Brent joined Douglas Partners and currently serves as the Branch Manager, overseeing Environmental Services for the Central Coast Office.  In this capacity, he has led the preparation or technical review of numerous geo-environmental reports.  These reports encompass a diverse range of projects, including groundwater investigations, acid sulfate soil assessments, ground gas investigations, waste classification assessments, and combined geotechnical and contamination investigation projects.

Brent’s knowledge extends to leading the investigation and remediation of sites impacted by a wide range of contaminants, such as chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), organochlorine pesticides (OCP), hazardous ground gases (e.g., methane and VOC), various metals, and asbestos.  He consistently provides specialised advice to landowners, developers, consultants, and local councils.  Brent’s client-focused approach has cultivated a loyal client base, with many clients returning to him for his expertise in delivering essential investigations, management plans, and practical solutions.  His contributions enable clients to navigate the complexities of development approval processes, adhere to regulatory requirements, and effectively manage contamination and waste management aspects of their projects.
