Troy is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with over 17 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours) from the University of Newcastle (2009) and a Master of Engineering Science (Honours) in Engineering Geology and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of New South Wales (2021). Troy is listed on the National Engineering Register (NER) and is a registered Professional Engineer (PRE) in New South Wales.
Troy joined Douglas Partners in 2008 and has predominantly worked across the Central Coast, Newcastle, and Hunter Valley regions. He is currently the Northern NSW Regional Manager, overseeing operations across the Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Newcastle, and Central Coast branches.
He has extensive experience across a wide range of geotechnical and environmental projects in the regions. His specialist areas include renewable energy infrastructure (including the Central-West Orana REZ), pavements, mine subsidence, rail infrastructure, and residential, commercial, and industrial developments, including basement construction. In addition to geotechnical investigations, Troy has experience in effluent disposal, acid sulfate soils, waste classification, and contamination assessments.
